  • Cast iron block, DOHC, pentroof combustion chamber. It's a really basic recipe for horsepower. Cast iron blocks can stand up to unbelievable abuse (that's why diesels use em) and the combination of the combustion chamber design and DOHC gives amazing head flow characteristics. My stock K20 head flowed 354 CFM @ 0.600 lift, the same as a set of TF270 CNC heads for the RB 440, K20 has a pentroof chamber and DOHC while the 440 is using a wedge head with cam in block design.
