Watch: World's first Tesla-swapped Nissan R32 Skyline go drifting
Some people will say this is sacrilege, whereas as others will love it. This is a Tesla-swapped Nissan R32 Skyline and it is quite a strange yet exciting project car.
Normally when you see or hear a car drifting it is very loud, there is lots of smoke and it is all a bit smelly from all the burned rubber. However, with this one, there is just the noise from the tyres and the smell, no engine noise which at first is a bit strange.
This R32 is powered by a Tesla drive unit which sits on a modified Tesla rear subframe. Power is then fed to the motor via a 16 kWh battery pack which has come straight out of a Chevy Volt (one of my favourite hybrids). While there may not be as much power as a tuned R32, it still seems to perform rather well.
