Watch: You won't be able to run far if this 900hp Audi RS3 is chasing you

It has 900hp, and the owner daily drives it.

The Audi RS3 is a spectacularly quick car as is, powered by a 395hp (295kW) 2.5 litre turbocharged inline-5 which allows it to accelerate from 0-62mph in just 4.1 seconds. That however isn't enough for many owners of the hot hatch/saloon, who often take to tuning companies such as APR, ABT, MTM or Litchfield to name a few. These companies usually offer three stages of upgrade kits up to around 570hp (425kW) with a simple intake/intercooler and chip tune.

Even this however wasn't enough for one particular RS3 owner.

After $40,000 USD worth of upgrades, the owner of this RS3 has fitted a new turbocharger, clutches and a rebuilt engine that now displaces 2.6 litres. The end result is a whopping 900hp (671kW), which with all-wheel drive and launch control - the car manages a quarter mile sprint in just 9.8 seconds at 147mph (236km/h) making it faster than most production cars on the market. What's more impressive is that the exterior of the car remains almost completely standard - now that's what I call a sleeper.

The owner of the vehicle uses it as his daily driver, and it remains as practical as any other small saloon.

Watch a video of it below.

  • I wouldn’t daily anything with over 600hp for several reasons

    1.) It’s utterly useless

2.) I’d get into enough trouble with less hp already. I don’t need a more powerful temptation underneath my right foot on public roads.

    • Yeah I agree. It's easy to get carried away when you have a lot of power under your feet.

  • At least the dude's building it based on the 5 pot RS3... Instead there are also ones who tries to squeeze 700 horses out of a 2.0 4 cylinder S3 by wishing their engines to explode under the boost, completely remove the interior, so they can go "check it out I just did 0-60 in two and a half seconds", yet still claims they also daily the thing for milk. Those I do hate.

  • I’m assuming it’s gearbox and 4wd system is going to take a beating form that much power. I bet he rarely launches it.
