Watching this 1000hp 2020 Supra engine build is incredibly satisfying
In case you've missed it and haven't been anywhere on the internet for the last two months, YouTube channel and build shop PapadakisRacing is tearing down and slapping together a 1000hp 2020 B58 Supra engine.
You also might know Papadakis Racing as the 'winningest' drift team in history, taking back to back championships with Tanner Foust in 2007 and 2008, and bringing the Toyota Corolla Hatchback drift team back in 2015 with driver Fredric Aasbo.
But what these guys are doing now is just epic. They've already torn down the B58 motor that comes with the Supra. And you can see that entire video below. It's awesome and you should watch it.
Now they've just reassembled it and, honestly, it's very satisfying to watch. Seeing this all come together really makes engine building look easy, like a bunch of legos. In reality of course, it's not, but the video does make it look simple.
Next up for them is a full dyno with the engine to see how much power they're actually making. Given what we've seen so far, this should easily hit 1000. Just look at that freaking turbo!
