We might be getting Forza Horizon 5 sooner than expected
Where do you think it will be set?
Since the release of Forza Motorsport 4 in 2011 we consistently got a new Forza game ever year, alternating between the main motorsport series and the open world horizon games. That pattern stuck right up until Horizon 4 in 2018 but since then we’ve been waiting patiently for a new game to release.
Things started looking up for Forza fans in July when Microsoft announced the next Forza Motorsport was early in development, although we likely won’t see that for another year at least.
Jeff GrubbMight be coming this coming year
The good news comes from the Xbox Empire podcast where journalist Jeff Grubb claimed that Forza Horizon 5 could be released next year. Grubb said “We saw Forza Motorsport get teased a few months ago, I think we might get the next Forza Horizon game first and I think that might be coming this coming year” adding that “They’re in a weird situation where for some reason Playground says it does seem like they may be ready to go first. I think I know the setting, but I’m going to let them announce it.”
This is by no means official confirmation but hopefully there is some truth to it and Horizon 5 is released next year. Now we just need to know the location...

Someplace the drives on the correct side of the road
So you want it in the UK again? 😂
Eww no I said correct ie America
I would really love to see a location in africa, a mixture of Namibia, Zambia, Congo and South Africa
Japan would be cool but then it would be allll about canyon drifting and street racing... The proper location needs to be a place where all of the Forza Horizon boxes can be checked: Road racing, rally, off-road with trucks, drifting, drag racing and most important bombing around the open-world in hypercars. A setting that would hit all of those is Salt Lake City, Utah USA. No, it's not flashy like LA or anything California related to look better to non-American gamers.. BUT hear it out... It has a decent sized city-center for street racing, a mountain range to the west for canyon drifts, more technical races, and off-road truck series type events. And then to the east they could draw up the Bonneville Salt Flats for drag racing and ultimate high-speed runs. Best of literally all worlds and their 4 seasons engine could still work geographically. A 'showcase' event perfect for the next-gen consoles could be the player piloting a land-speed record breaking car for example. I think there's a lot of potential there.
That does sound like it would make a great map
yeah but it would be to similar to colorado imo
Turn around when it is safe to do so
I'd be happy with it set in Japan, its an awesome country. But there are lots of things the game needs to have make sure it is any good. It would probably benefit from having at least one more year to be worked on to make sure it's as good as it can be.
Yeah I’d rather they make it as good as it can be than rush it out before it’s ready
