A disappointing day at the Nürburgring today during FP1 and FP2, which were cancelled to do heavy rain, fog and mist, making the conditions unsafe to practice and race in. A Saddening day for the drivers and the fans. Disheartening, for F2 Championship leader, Mick Schumacher who was about to make his F1 debut with Alfa Romeo in FP1, which unfortunately was cancelled due to distressing and unchangeable circumstances with the weather. And as of his World Championship rival Callum Illot, who was also not able to make his F1 debut with Haas as well. Sadly it was cancelled for everyone, which has had people wondering if the F2 stars will get a second chanced? They probably will during the last practice of the season in Abu Dhabi.

With bored drivers and horrible weather, practice today made a boring one. No action all day, as it was all abandoned leaving practice behind. Due to the Medical Helicopter not able to fly to receiving hospitals due to the heavy fog and rain, it was deemed unsafe to race. Visibility was horrendous, it was a good call to let the practice go.

Woefully, not all was ruined. As the drivers and the workers took the opportunity to catch up, work and enjoy their day still. As Mick took the chance to talk with many F1 idols and catch up with them as well. Speaking with one of his icons, 4 Time World Champion Sebastian Vettel during the long wait, as Sebastian also showed Mick the new design of his helmet to represent his father, Michael Schumacher in their home of Germany. Both teams and drivers enjoyed some funny banter and made a full day out of the annoying circumstances.

With the forecast showing rain and wet weather all weekend, we are certainly exited and waiting on the edge of our seats for Sundays race. With shower percentage's expected to increase. As the weather conditions make it more exiting, they also make it worse and harder for the drivers. Which is bad news for them, as it is very difficult to mange and find grip in the tries with this weather. Also with very high winds expected on Sunday, their cars will be very twitchy and shaky, sadly the drives will have fight against and struggle with the conditions all week.

On a track were 13 of drivers have never raced before, and as F1 haven't raced on since 2013, not having practice made it frustrating and difficult for both the teams and the drivers. On the bright side, usually not having practice or experience before a race makes the race very exiting dramatic and interesting. With teams and drivers pouring out their feelings of disappointment and frustrations, it calmed after a while and became a more relaxed environment at the Nürburgring. Together with the legendary track and no practice, the 2020 Eifel Grand Prix will make a fulfilling and remembering race to watch.

Will these weather condition's make the Eifel Grand Prix More Thrilling?
