I was lucky enough to be able to spend a day with the flagship of luxury at Mercedes, that lost it's roof and become the ultimate tool to drive around in style on the French Riviera.
I'm not that kind of "flashy" person, but must admit the feel of directing such a boat -sorry car- has some special feeling to it which you get lost in easily...so I did.
The level of detail and fine craftsmanship is simply stunning. The interior is simply mind-blowing. One particular favorite is the cover of the Burmeister speakers, which is a piece of art alone...I'd watch them speechlessly for hours.
The V engine gives a little bit of hint about itself with is solid roaring, just the amount you'd expect from such a sophisticated car. By the way, did you know that the S coupe and cabrio cannot be ordered with a diesel engine?! Job well done, Mercedes, job well done!
With this satheen white paint it certainly stood out from the crowd, and I could not resist to take a few light-painted photos of it...
Special thanks to Pappas Auto Hungary.
