Hello, and welcome to the Goodwood Road & Racing tribe on Drivetribe. I am delighted that we have this exciting new platform on which to share our enthusiasm for cars and bikes, and those who race them.
A love of speed on wheels has been part of the Goodwood DNA since my grandfather first brought motorsport to the Estate in the 1930s. Organising three of the world’s leading motorsport events gives us unique access to the most significant cars and bikes in history, and an insight into what makes them special. I hope you share our fascination with all things automotive, whether that be on four wheels or two, and will enjoy the broad range of content we’ll be bringing you. Drivetribe is your forum; a meeting place that will be both authoritative and insightful, an opportunity to share your knowledge and express your opinions.
Here at Goodwood, we are already busy preparing for our 75th Members’ Meeting in March, and you'll find all the latest news right here in the coming weeks. The grids are filling up fast, and our first event of the 2017 season will feature not only new races but also three spectacular high-speed demos. We’ll also bring you news of our other events – the Festival of Speed in June and Goodwood Revival in September – as well as features, opinions, photos and videos that bring our wider passion to life.
I am particularly pleased that Goodwood is one of the first tribes to join this new forum. Both the automobile industry and motorsport are constantly evolving. We are on the cusp of revolutionary changes, both in the way cars are made and the way we will use them in the future. The sport, and how we follow it, is also moving with the times, so this is an exciting time for us to share our thoughts and experiences.
Welcome to Goodwood on Drivetribe. I very much look forward to sharing my own love of both cars and bikes with you in the months and years ahead.
