You'll probably remember this video from around 8 years ago.
We'll it's made this humble little garage (Jetberg LTD/ Findacar Easilease) one of the most famous spots for abandoned cars in the U.K. and although the motors are dwindling as people snap them up, there are still 3 cars left...
OR SHOULD I SAY 2!
Yes, that's right, a friend of mine has bought one of the 3 remaining (and probably most known) cars from the dealership. The Rover 800 no less (surprise, surprise being us...). We are in the process of documenting the restoration of the car and are publishing videos on YouTube.

WHAT'S NEXT?
Well, we're hoping to get it started for our first Maverick Motors Christmas Special. This will be the first time it will have ran or even moved (if it will) in at least 18 years, so we're looking forward to it but are also quite nervous as we don't know what sort of obstacles we may face...
FINAL GOAL
Our final goal, is to have it road worthy and cruising about with an MoT which is something it hasn't had in a VERY long time. From there we may restore it further by sorting out the paintwork, or we might just leave it as it is (we haven't decided yet). As well as this, we would quite like to take it back to the dealership where it was laid up for 20 years and even possibly take it back to the Cowley plant in Oxford where it was built.
Either way, you're going to want to follow this as it's going to be one hell of a restoration to pull off.

Cool! I wasn’t aware of this place (i know about the Rover dealership Birmingham though). If it had been me I probably would’ve gotten the Maestro (not sure though as it’s an automatic), Metro or Cavalier (interesting to hear two of my choices are still there), although the Rover is a very nice choice
You should definitely save one of the two that are left!

That must have been 10 years ago at least. Stunned that it hasn't been raised to the ground and turned into flats. Fair play I hope the lot can be saved
