Kim Jong Un is North Korea's leader, or in other words, a dictator. He has been the ruler of the country since 2011, and has showed us some bold moves, such as ICBM experiments and nowadays, he even had a summit with Donald Trump. Now let's see what cars does this ruthless dictator own.

Mercedes Benz S600 Pullman Guard

Kim Jong Un's father Kim Jong-il was a great Mercedes Benz aficionado. It is known that he owned more than 30 Mercedes Benz vehicles, including a G500, S65 AMG, and among them all, the S600 Pullman Guard was his favorite. After his father's death, Kim Jong Un inherited his collection of Mercedes Benz including this limousine. S600 Pullman Guard is an armored vehicle from the S-Class lineup which protects up to European B7 level. The car can withstand full metal jacket pierced bullets, C-4, grenades, and the list goes on. The car has run flat tires, self sealing 90L fuel tank, improved suspension and brakes, and most of all a 5.5L V12. For Kim Jong Un, who is a target for numerous western enemies, he would definitely need protection from harm.

However, the problem is that Mercedes Benz never sold the car to North Korea. This was revealed after international criticism towards Mercedes for selling their car to a dictator. It is known that the car was bought in China and was shipped in a freight ship of Togo nationality. The ship turned off their tracking system for 2 weeks in the northern seas of Japan, and we do not know what happened during the period, it seems that the car was shipped in a Russian military freight plane then shipped to Vladivostok then somehow made its way into North Korea.

Audi R8 V10 First generation

Jacky Ickx a 6 time Le Mans winner commented that the first generation R8 was one of the best handling cars on the market. And it seems that Kim Jong Un also cares more than just brand value and looks. Although the R8 was never seen in front of the public, this car was included in one of the 42 Audis that were imported to North Korea and it is obvious who would be the car's owner.

The first generation R8 is one of the best Audis ever built. The R8 V10 is powered by a 5.2L V10 that produces 525hp, which simply sounds wonderful. The car's look is also stunning, as it still looks futuristic even in modern day views. The car is also equipped with an intelligent AWD system that allows it to tackle surfaces with low traction too. But the question is, where would Kim Jong Un would be able to drive this car? And would he have the skills too? Well according to North Korea, Kim Jong Un mastered driving when he was 3 and when he was 8 years old, he managed to come down a mountain in a Jeep with a speed of 100km/h. But I am pretty sure nobody is going to believe that.

Range Rover 5.0 Supercharged V8

Although North Korea had developed quite a lot of infrastructure in the few years, there are still lots of areas with bad road conditions, and even no roads. For situations like that, Kim Jong Un also owns a Range Rover. He owns a L322 Range Rover, but he was criticized for riding it in his trip to visit flooded areas. The Ranger Rover is equipped with a supercharged 5.0L V8 that produces 503hp and has a luxurious interior to suit long trips. Also, Range Rover is famous for their off road capabilities, which is suitable for rural areas of North Korea.

Rolls Royce Phantom VII Armored

Now this is definitely the epitome of Kim Jong Un's collection. Despite numerous trade sanctions, Kim Jong Un somehow managed to bring an armored Rolls Royce into North Korea. Although how they imported is unknown, it is predicted that it would have been imported through China or bought from an auction.

The Rolls Royce Phantom is the king of luxury vehicles and the armored version is only for the VVIPs of the world. Bespoke built to perfection, the car features luxury interior, a magical ride, and in the armored version, incomparable protection. However, Kim Jong Un's act of riding a Rolls Royce publicly means that he managed to break through the sanctions and now waving a big middle finger towards all the western countries who were sanctioning them.

Hwasong-15 Transporter Erector Launcher (TEL)

Now this is Kim Jong Un's most badass vehicle. It is a 9 axle TEL specifically built to suit North Korea's ICBM, the Hwasong-15. I am pretty sure he never drove one, but it is technically 'his' car so this monster made the list. Well to describe this vehicle as a dealership would do, this vehicle has 18 military grade wheels and armor, while having a launch pad for ICBM launches. The specific numbers of the car is unknown, but I am pretty sure it will hardly reach 60km/h despite a huge engine. This car would definitely be the most interesting vehicle for any petrolhead, but the problem is that it is in the hands of Kim Jong Un, a ruthless North Korean dictator.

  • Technically he doesn’t “own” them since Korea is a communist country and someone can’t simply own something
