What cars does Michael Jordan have?
The basketball star is renowned for earning big bucks, but what cars does he spend it on?
Michael Jordan is undoubtedly of the greatest athletes of all time. He's a legendary basketball player who has played for the Chicago Bulls and might be just as famous for his range of shoes…
He liked to show off his moves on the court but he also liked to show off his flamboyant cars. So here's a list of the cars Michael Jordan has owned.
Chevrolet ZR1 40th Anniversary Edition
The ZR1 is actually one of the cheapest cars you can buy if you want to have fun without burning a hole in your wallet. This is one of 220 ZR1s with a special anniversary badge.
This makes the car even rarer because only 448 ZR1s were built with V8 engines with 450bhp. This car may be relatively cheap but has a lot of high-tech features for its time. It had ABS, airbags, a stereo with a CD player, a cassette player, power windows and even air conditioning.
Aston Martin DB9 Volante
The Aston Martin DB9 Volante is undoubtedly one of Aston's prettiest cars – and, with a 510bhp V12, it's definitely not slow.
The Volante is more of a luxury Grand Tourer, thanks to it softer suspension than the DB9 Coupe, and an amazingly comfortable interior. The retractable roof, along with the mesmerising design adds to the cool factor that the Volante brings to the road.
Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 Edition
The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren was proper hypercar royalty back in 2003, and the 722 edition took things even further when it came out in 2006. The standard SLR's V8 was upgraded to produce 681bhp, making it one of the fastest cars in the world. This special edition Merc featured a lower ride height and stiffer suspension, to improve cornering.
This being the second special edition car on this list certainly tells us that Jordan has a penchant for rarer and upgraded cars.
Ferrari 512 TR
The Testarossa may not be the most loved car in Ferrari's line up, but in in the early 90s Jordan bought one of these Italian stallions for $212k – making it one of the basketball star's biggest purchases.
The 512 TR was a model revision of the Testarossa. This car was produced from 1992 to 1996. During its nine-year manufacturing period, more than 10,000 512s were made, making it one of the most mass produced Ferrari models ever.
Chevrolet C4 Corvette
After being drafted by the Chicago Bulls, Jordan made a deal with a Chevrolet dealer in Chicago to do a series of commercials. In return, he was gifted this C4 Corvette which was personalised with the number plate "JUMP23".
This Corvette is one of the very last versions of the C4. With a four-speed manual gearbox and with 350bhp, this again was one of the more average cars owned by Jordan. This car epitomises Jordans love for cheap-yet-exciting cars.

Kind of a weak list for a billionaire. But with your own private jet, maybe you need cool cars a lot less.
Probably sold some to buy a whole team.
Just because I’m a stickler for accuracy, the C4 pictured and described as having a four speed gear box was last produced in1988. The C4 continued production until 1996 and got a ZF six speed for 1989, so that car was not one of the last versions. Not being difficult just wanted to clarify a bit for you on that subject. Loved to article tho, quite a mix of cars he bought !! Great job
Thanks!
In my opinion the ZR1 has the classic and most sleek styling of all of them. Nice photo of it.
