As you have probably heard, Volkswagen has sold Bugatti to Rimac. While Bugatti won't be owned by Volkswagen, Porsche owns a large stake in Rimac along with a number of other automakers including Koenigsegg, Jaguar and Hyundai. There have been many people sharing their opinions on this but, I'd like to hear your thoughts (or read them, I suppose).

  • I think it's a good thing because Rimac can get technology and experts from Bugatti to help them out.

    • Yeah exactly! Why are people disapproving so much?

    • Well i think the problem would be the parts since Rimac is pretty limited and also less parts = less new Bugattis.

  • I think it’s a good thing. I want to see Bugatti come up with an electric hypercar and Rimac makes incredible cars so why is everyone freaking out about it?

    • I think the problem would be logistics since VW has provided a lot of parts to Bugatti and also Rimac is pretty limited to logistics so maybe there will be rarer new Bugattis.

  • As I said in my other comment. I consider this win-win. This is not a sale but share swap. So, Rimac is getting under Volkswagen wing. By sharing technology with Volkswagen, Rimac gets cash injection, while getting "green technology" from Rimac, Volkswagen is improving its image after Diesel apps scandal.
