What if Audi makes the RS6 Pickup?

The new Audi RS6 Avant seems to be unanimously accepted by fans of the brand of the rings. This is a very encouraging first sign for the future career of the car. With its 592 hp, the Audi RS6 Avant will make people talk about it! And it will also be distributed again in the United States! This will considerably broaden its consumer base. But why not design a bodywork even more adapted to this market?

We're obviously talking about pickup trucks! Yes, the idea may seem crazy or even absurd! But we remind you that the United States is a fan of pickup trucks and more particularly of high-performance pickup trucks such as the insolently successful Ford F-150 Raptor. So if we apply the same recipe to the RS6, will success be guaranteed? We'll have to see... if Audi would try.

For the moment, the famous graphic designer X-Tomi Design offers us his interpretation of the RS6 in pickup version. At the front, there are no changes compared to the original RS6. There are very pronounced ribs on the wings and at the bottom of the doors. The car is still equipped with its huge 22-inch wheels. It is further back that the changes are important.

So, if the taillights remain the same, just like the imposing air vents with oval exhaust pipes, the top changes completely! A bed takes the place of the trunk and rear seats. The living area has therefore been drastically reduced, so much so that it can now be described as a cabin like on pickups.

The roof rails and the shark antenna have been preserved. The rear window giving a view of the bed is almost vertical. However, the car does not deny its sporty origins and still offers a spoiler that is well integrated into the roofline. This RS6 pickup has very little chance of seeing the light of day. But the idea of a small sports pickup is not new. Other brands such as Holden with the 577 hp HSV GTS Maloo have already tried it.
