What is Itasha

So what is Itasha? It is a term used in Japan to describe cars that have had anime related decals put on them. Normally of female anime characters. In Japan you are most likely to see them at weekends in Akihabara (the centre for all things anime in Tokyo). Nipponbashi, Osaka and Osu, Nagoya.

They are found not just on Cars (anime is Lucky Star character is Kagami Hiiragi)

Engines as well (Anime is Angel Beats Character is Yui)

Even a bus, but is this really Itasha as it was a promotional decal added to this route for the anime Love Live! Sunshine that is based in this town.

I'll be posting more images for itasha and abit about the anime and the character depicted so keep an eye out.
