What it's really like to drive a Tesla...

We've all seen the launches, but what's it really like to drive a Tesla on a twisty back-road or on the daily? (don't worry, there's launches too)..

There are a tonne of videos out there demonstrating autonomous features and 0-100 launches, but what's it like to actually drive a Tesla P90D both as an everyday driver, and as a performance car on a twisty road?

IS it just a boring Camry that goes fast in a straight line and drives itself, or can it give you the thrill for 6 figure supercar?

In this video I'll give you an overview of the car as a whole, as well as some insane launches and self driving, of course.

  • Interesting, but I really don't think it's for me. I feel like there's better technology just over the horizon.

    • That's the thing. there's ALWAYS better technology just over the horizon unfortunately. There is never a right time to buy I'm afraid..

    • I don’t know. I feel like nano flowcell technology will be a real quantum leap. I think sometimes big leaps make new technology result attractive. A lot of electric cars are evolutions of decades old tech.

  • Fascinating that a) you have to keep your hands on the wheel, and b) if you accidentally introduce some steering yourself, the self-steering mode turns off. Like you, I'm thinking that unless and until I can stay in the back with a coffee and my laptop, I'd much rather drive myself, and enjoy the experience.
