  • In memory of my late brother, me and some friends drove various cars from John O’Groats to Lands end over 5 days on non-motorway roads. Quite a meandering route, lots of socialising and some great cars. As well as my Capri 280, there was an ex Thames Valley Police 3.2 Omega, a Monaro, a mk1 Opel Manta, a mk1 Golf GTi and a track prepared Golf mk2. Awesome fun! Especially doing donuts at Lands End car park! 👍🏻

  • So far it was a trip my wife and I took in upstate NY to Toronto and back. Being from TX we just don't have the scenery in that part of the country (think huge trees, scenic byways). It stared with going to vintage racing at Watkins Glen and exploring the finger lakes; then contrast that with bustling, gridlocked Toronto. As a family the most memorable ones were summer trips to Arkansas and South Dakota. We do hope we pass down the tradition of The Great Summer Road Trip when our kids have their own families.

    • That's so awesome. I remember South Dakota - very windy, very flat (kinda like Texas lmao) - and I'm sure there will be many more summer road trips coming up!

    • What really amazed me on my road trips in the US was the change of scenery while you're just keep driving. It's so diverse and incredibly beautiful.
