What you get with a Toyota 86 Hakone Edition
Giving you all the details on Toyota's special edition 86.
The Toyota 86 is has been stateside for a while now (if you count its Scion FR-S life), but for the 2020 model year Toyota released a nice spicy 86 to get your eyes back on it - the 2020 Toyota 86 Hakone Edition.
The 86 Hakone Edition is such named after a twisty stretch of road in Tokyo called the Hakone Turnpike. That unique color is called Hakone Green.
Sticking with the exterior, along with that British Racing Green color inspiration you get some unique bronze 17-inch wheels and a a black rear spoiler.
On the interior you get some seats wrapped in tan leather and black suede inserts. You even get a special leather key cover to match the seats.
The 86 Hakone comes standard with the same 2.0-liter 4 cylinder boxer engine as prior years and variants pushing out 205 horsepower all controllable via a six-speed manual transmission in the particular model I drove. One of the best things of the Hakone Edition is that it is a special edition that doesn't give you any large markup over the normal 86 - including the delivery fee it will run you just at $30k.
