Hill Rallies are speed multiple stage events in which teams are provided with a Road Book of directions for the navigator. They often take place over two days. There are roughly 3-4 Hill Rallies per year, forming a championship.
Hill Rallies take place on private and forestry land. There are technical speed sections and flat out fast sections as well as differing stages & routes throughout the weekend.
The events are open to modified & production 4x4s with a driver and a co-driver. It is recommended that you attend with a service team and make a weekend of it – great fun!
Volunteer marshals oversee the course and the timings, on larger events all vehicles are fitted with trackers to ensure nobody is lost on the stages.

What do I need?
- Vehicle modified to the MSA Technical Regulations for off road vehicles, with scrutineering log book. Log books are available at events.
- MSA Non-Race Clubman’s competition license.
- Membership to your chosen club, we recommend the All Wheel Drive Club as they have the most events throughout the year and cover the whole of the country.
- MSA Compliant Helmet & sensible shoes – a fireproof race suit is not a requirement but is recommended. A HANS device and extra safety equipment is also recommended.
We'll be reporting on the UK Hill Rallies next season - keep an eye on the tribe!
