What's the point of airbags?!

Just because we like them isn't enough?

It seems like the custom airbag industry is one of those ‘either you get it, or you don’t’ things. And while I can appreciate that because, well…let’s face it - who understands vaping as a hobby? What I don’t get is the cantankerous attitude that the “highbrow” guys have towards adjustable suspension. It’s as if steel, gasoline, and oil have somehow become a good ole boys club that has no room for progressive thinking. I mean – NASCAR is apparently the largest spectator sport in the US, and I could give two shits about it. However, my apathy towards NASCAR should not be confused with discontent. If those 75 Million fans want to watch cars drive in circles, who am I to judge them? Hell – I like to watch my home-brewed beer ferment (which can very much be compared to watching a kettle of water boil), just because it makes me happy, so my opinion is moot…and my opinion is pretty much the only one I care about.

Meanwhile, folks are swapping the poorly designed Mustang II front suspension into their ’32 Fords and thinking they’ve just done something especially noteworthy, but the truth is that the MII suspension was a cheap suspension, designed for a cheap car (these are the designer’s words, mind you). So how does their opinion about airbags matter?

The custom airbag industry is becoming more pervasive than anyone ever thought it would, and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down, so you might do yourself a favor and get used to it!

  • What, for that matter, is the point of anything? What is the point of cheese?
