Whats the Story Morning Glory?

Its been a long time since the FJ was first put on the shelves. A reincarnation of a classic that was bound to turn a few heads.

I have owned a Toyota FJ cruiser now for 2 years. I remember when I first saw one, I had no idea what to make of it!

The FJ has changed my mind, not only is this truck an off road master but it also has the looks to keep me smiling every time I see it. From the peculiar styling, to the tank like interior there is a lot to love.

Although off the shelves in both the US and Australia, the FJ is still being sold full steam ahead in much of the middle east.

I see the FJ as the ultimate discussion piece, some people love it, thinking back to the FJ's of the past, its amazing pedigree and off road prestige. Others see it as a brick on wheels, a sort of Tinker Toy for men that have smaller than average appendages....

In my opinion, as you can probably guess, I love this car. I think that it gives the essence of what a car should be about. Something that makes you smile when you see it in the morning. That can be ripped apart and put back together. Something that you can spend hours on in the garage, trying to find the best way to make her purr.

What is the general consensus on this car? I think its a mix, but one thing is for sure, if you have ever had the pleasure of owning one, you'll have a special place in your heart for this giant!

  • Haven't they ceased production mid-2016 for the Mideast and Japan markets? Or am I wrong? I could be wrong.
