I have been here before: nauseating myself by delving into the issue of ugly cars. It’s a subject that has the power to put people off their food, while being a strange point of fascination. Every enthusiast has an opinion when asked: what’s the ugliest car ever made?
When you really think about it, there are two ways in which you could approach this question. One would be to simply find the ugliest car ever made regardless of any caveats you could project onto the topic; the other would be to define ugliness by how frequently the ugly car is seen by people day to day.
For example: a Fiat Multipla is considered by many to be the ugliest car in the history of all existence - a view which is influenced by how common a sight they are on the roads. But if you ask me, there’s a car in existence that makes the Multipla look like a Beauty Pageant Queen.
It’s called the Sbarro Autobau - and each and every time I force my eyes to look at it, I find myself in denial that anything as ugly as this can exist. While it’s traditional when looking at an ugly car for a metaphor to be dropped in order to draw significance between the car itself and something truly ghastly, God has not yet created a creature or a natural disaster hideous enough to warrant comparison to the Sbarro.
So, that’s what I think is the ugliest car ever made. Now, I want to throw the question back to you guys: what DO YOU think is the ugliest car ever made? Let me know in the comments.
