- I discovered this car at the Cobble Beach Concours D'Elegance in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada.- I have rarely been stopped in my tracks by a car, but this one did just that.- I imagine there is quite a story behind this car, and since I don't know it, I can only imagine how it was sold during the Great Depression, and how it survived WWII, not to mention the years following it.- One of the most fascinating things on the car was the headlights. Their uniqe shape really set the whole car apart from everything else. - It wasn't just the headlights either. All the rest of the lights on the front of the car have the same treatment.- Small details on the back, like how it says STOP in the taillights seems a bit odd today, but would have been quite special when the car was new.- The side profile of the car is very impressive to me. It's easiest to appreciate the subtle lines on the car from the side. The way the door matches the windshield, and how the line from the hood slopes back and how the line flows all the way back.- At the end of the day the car won Best of Class, Best of Show, and People's Choice.- Hopefully one day I get to hear the full story! Trying to imagine what this Auburn's life was like.
