WHEEL STOPS INSTALLED IN THE WRONG SPOT

In Adelaide, South Australia the conquil spent over $50,000 for 59 wheel stops. They were fitted last week in angled parks adjacent to outdoor dining. Unfortunately, 21 of them were installed more than a metre away from the kerb, leaving the parked cars disrupting traffic.

“The plan was to also allow enough room for people to walk in front of a parked vehicle,” a spokesman said to The Advertiser.

The mistake is said to have been caused by contractor error, and has now been fixed.

  • Would be nice a photo to see how much the cars are out of the white line with the back

    • I would like to see that too, but there wasn't any pictures like that. Still, the pictures from the front does give you a good idea.
