When a Dacia is powered by a 850Hp Nissan GT-R Engine things get quite Serious
Not exactly the laughing stock it used to be every time a certain someone said: "Good News!" ...
Jean-Phillipe Dayraut competed on Pikes Peak International Hill climb between 2011 and 2013 with VR38DETT powered Spaceframed Monsters. On the first two years he used a very uncommon base for the bodywork of his machine.
With looks inspired on the Romanian Dacia Duster, this Unlimited Class 850Hp/950Kg 3.8L V6 mid-engined Beast posted a respectable 10.17 minutes on 2011 edition while on 2012, in the first ever Full Tarmac edition of Pikes Peak , it was on its way to an overall victory, but braking problems ended up causing a crash on the last third of the race.
On 2013 and after the unfortunate incident, the car was rebuilt but now sporting a new base for its bodywork and even more power. If you are curious to see what it looked by then, just check this out..
