When are you worthy enough to own a fast car?
Over the last few years there has been a dramatic increase in supercar purchases, especially among younger generations. Whether they have made their money or not, it takes real nerve to step into a supercar just a couple of years or even days after passing your driving test.
This poses an interesting question. When are you worthy enough to own a fast car? We all want to own a supercar, that is just fact but a scary one too. To me, I feel one has to earn the right to own a fast car whether it be a Porsche Cayman or a Ferrari 488 Pista. You hear so many stories about inexperienced drivers behind the wheel of sports cars who often don't come out alive.
For me, if I was ever in the position to buy a sports/super car I would want to make sure I can actually handle it first. So maybe I would test one or similar to get a feel for the bump in power and acceleration. It may sound boring but I think deep down it makes the most sense. Put it this way. Surely you would much rather wait and build up experience than go for it and shunt it into the first tree on the first corner. Just a thought.
