Where do you go to take pictures of cars?
Backgrounds are an important part of photography and I need help
I know many of y'all love to take photos of cars. I wanted to take some glamor shots of my car while it was clean and extra shiny but I couldn't think of anywhere that would make a decent background. I ended up in a small alleyway next to an imposing large brick building which wasn't exactly where I had in mind.
What criteria do you look for in a spot? I was looking for a place that:
- doesn't have lots of pedestrians or cars around
- has good sight lines to the car from all angles
- is scenic
It was that last part that gave me trouble. I am asking as I need to take some decent pictures of my sister's car before publishing my review of it.
I also tried out this spot with my dad's Tundra in a nearby National Park. There are very few areas near me that have scenic views of unspoiled wilderness from the road and most of the more scenic urban settings have too many people and cars around.
Here's a few spots I have in mind. Please give me your best tips and tricks for finding decent backgrounds for car photography.
