WHERE IT ALL STARTED - PART TWO

Let's Hit some real mountain passes

The first goal of the day wasn't a mountain pass, the M235i needed a drink. We hit the first petrol station. After fueling up the fuel consumption was around 9,1 l/100 (for the non EU guys 25,8mpg). Not bad for the first day in the alps. I admit. The long drive to the hotel dropped the fuel consumption significantly. Anway, we went for Davos with the first pass of the day, Wolfgangspass.

We drove straight for the Fluelapass. The weather cleared up and the sun was shining on our cars. Unfortunately there were much traffic. But this pass was still fun. It is worth to drive this one again. The brakes didn't like it very much, they decided to turn blue. But everything was fine after a little cooling down phase.

Next up was the Ofenpass where we hit Italy. I can recommend the Ofenpass, very smooth driving. You should try it.

The Stelviopass should everybody know. Not much to say except, I don't like it very much...

We went over the Foscagnopass to Livigno. To our surprise it is a toll free zone. We decided to fill up our cars. The M235i used 11,4 l/100km (20,6mpg) and the Diesel used till now in average. 8,4 l/100 (28mpg).

We went back into Switzerland to the Berninapass. Where we took the following photos. Followed by St. Mortiz and the Julierpass where we went to our hotel. Day 2 is over.
