Which Brand Speaks The Design Language With Utmost Fluency?

AKA which brand makes the best looking cars on sale?

In the automotive world, beauty is truly present in the eye of the beholder. So, the question of the beauty of the car really boils down to your taste. That being said, there are some brands that make some unanimously beautiful cars. And today, we're going to decide which is the best of them. Keep in mind, I'm only taking the current cars on sale into account. Another thing- only one brand per country. Clear? Clear. So, let's meet the contenders.

Lexus make some of the best looking sedans and coupes today. Arguably. They've taken a usually despised design element- the big grille- and turned it into an actual vessel of beauty. Oh, and power too, let's not forget that.

Audi's another brand that makes some of the most beautiful sedans and coupes and wagons. They've really turned the tide around with the RS E-Tron GT. And obviously the R8 and every RS model is a no-brainer. Also, their SUVs aren't half bad.

Let's be frank, DS cars look better than Bugatti's although the Divo could give them a run for their money but it's the Chiron that sealed their fate. The reason Alpine isn't here because they make just one car and not matter how stunning it looks, it's still just one car.

It was a close call between Maserati and Alfa Romeo so I asked Toby and Madj and Toby voted for Maserati whereas Madj was cursing me for giving him such a hard choice. Hence, if you don't like Maserati over Alfa, well, you can blame Toby for that. Just kidding. Alfa wasn't chosen because of their Giulietta or Mito or whatever hatch ugly duckling they sell. Plus, the Levante is quite good looking if you ask me.

Cadillac's been making great looking cars since the dawn of time. It should come as no surprise that they make great looking cars even today. Even their SUVs look good and have that air of elegance that screams "Your-Malibu-rental-car-doesn't-belong-here-shoo".

Aston Martin.

This was the hardest one yet. Every single British car is murderously good looking. But, as always, Aston Martin come out on top. Don't ask me how- they just do damnit. And as much as I'd love to put Bentley here, I just can't. Seriously, Bentley, if you design the Bentayga better then you can be on the list. If not, well...

And now, for the poll.

    • Good choice, but I feel like they've been pretty much the same since birth and while those are good looking, they're too similar.

    • The similarity over the last seventy odd years is a statement of brand identity across all the models they’ve produced. A resilient foundation in identity is what provided the fluency in design language, as the adage goes, practice makes...
