The other day, I posted a video showing a Kawasaki Ninja H2R kicking 7 shades of shit out of the vehicular glitterati king, the Bugatti Veyron. If you’re interested in watching that particular race, then please feel free to click here. But beyond the comical supremacy of the outcome, it made me ponder a debate that’s older than the internet.
It’s a straight question: which do you prefer - cars or motorbikes? Not which is better - because there can be no answer to that - but simply which do you prefer?
I appreciate this will have many querying precisely what bike and car I’m referencing when asking people to choose - but rather than specifying, I’m merely asking in general. Also, it’s up to you what perspective you choose to answer the question from - whether it be via looking at the enjoyment aspect, or at the performance. Really, it’s entirely up to you.
For me, I’ve never been a bike person. My passion has always firmly been with the car, and that’s not likely to change any time soon. There may be some that say a “cage” can never replicate even half the thrill of a bike - but every time I see a motorcycle on the road, I can’t help but think the rider will one day be enriching the local hospital’s transplant ward.
While some may think that the reward for riding a bike is worth the risk, it’s only worth it if you never get into an accident. Of course, you’re far from invincible in a car - but if a young man were to knock on your door asking to take your daughter out, would you rather him take her away in a car or on a bike?
I’ll leave the title question with you. Can’t wait to hear what you have to say in the comments.
