The iconic Volvo 850R
In the left corner... The 1996 Volvo 850R with the iconic 2.3 ltr turbocharged inline five-cylinder engine with manual transmission. Developing 250 hp and 221 lb ft (350 Nm) of torque and a 0-60 of around 6.7 seconds. Not bad for a 20 year old car! The 850R can easily reach 400-500hp with the right modifications.
The advanced Volvo S60R
In the right corner... The 2006 Volvo S60R with the revolutionary 2.5 ltr turbocharged inline five-cylinder engine. Developing 296 hp and 295 lb ft (400 Nm) of torque, driving it through an advanced 4WD power-train it had a 0-60 of around 5.4 seconds. The S60R can be modified to provide the same kind of gains, but at significantly more cost due to the aluminum design of the engine.
