Whiteaker Family Truckster: 1975 Pontiac LeMans Safari
Three-row longroof daily driver in Eugene's weirdest neighborhood
GM "Colonnade" cars were once a highly common sight on North American roads, especially wagons. Nowadays their ranks have thinned considerably, but a surprising number still remain in varying conditions, mostly concentrated in California and the Northwest. This daily driven example seems to still be in use as a family car, and the neighborhood it's in is fitting: one of the oldest neighborhoods of Eugene, Oregon, once plagued with gun and knife violence (still plagued by this to a degree) and today the heart of microbrew culture as well as Latino, Pacific Islander, Serbian Orthodox Church, and African-American culture in Eugene. A diverse neighborhood makes for diverse car sightings as well.
The flag logo is not original, coming from a same year Oldsmobile Cutlass Salon.
