Who needs the Batmobile? Batwoman's new ride is a C7 Shooting Brake
Gets special touches in homage to the original Adam West Batmobile
The cinematic world of Gotham seems to be getting influenced by Dominic Torretto’s Fast and Furious ways. The latest flick will see Robert Pattinson’s Batman ditch the tank-resembling Tumbler in favour of a classic Mustang/Dodge Charger blend as the latest Batmobile. His inclination towards American muscle car seems to be shared with other Bat associates as well as Batwoman gets herself a new set of all-American wheels.
While filming the second season of CW television show ‘Batwoman’, a Twitter user managed to capture Batwoman’s latest ride - a modified C7 Corvette. While the photos aren’t exactly in HD quality with the night sky not helping further, one can still carve out some details of Batwoman’s Batmobile. Besides, aren’t vigilantes supposed to be tough to capture?
With the available photos and videos, one can deduce this C7 Chevy Corvette to have received the Callaway AeroWagen package which transforms the silhouette of this sports car to a coach-built shooting brake.
Additionally, a body kit with wide fenders, new side skirts and a massive rear spoiler come together to up the menacing quotient of this Batmobile. And if that wasn’t enough, red under lights seal the deal.
To cement the car’s identity, the producers of this TV show decided to splash in orange accents throughout the exterior with a huge orange Bat logo in place of the Corvette badge up front. The orange add-ons in contrast to the black paint are believed to pay tribute to the original Batmobile from 1960s Adam West TV show.
This tv-special Batmobile is said to be based on the C7 Corvette Grand Sport with power duties being handled by the standard 460hp 6.2-litre V8. Sadly, to see and hear the same in action, viewers will have to wait for the second season of Batwoman which premieres on the CW in January 2021. ,
