It would be pretty neat to see the show continue for generations to come, so long as it's still entertaining and doesn't seem too forced. Top Gear itself has become an integral part of the car community, and to see the show get left behind due to a lack of entertaining hosts would be a shame. Honestly, I think there's a lot of great options for future hosts, and I think they could even potentially bring the show back to the hilarious program it once was. By now, we know that the original three will never be returning to Top Gear, and the Grand Tour doesn't make me laugh nearly as much as Top Gear did (but I'll explain why in another article). So think to yourself, who would you want to see hosting it in the future? (Leave it in the comments!) Here's who I came up with:
Lando Norris
George Russell
Daniel Ricciardo
Why them?
Well, I have a few reasons to back this up. First off, is chemistry. We've already seen that George and Lando have been friends for a while, and in interviews (and with them being teammates next year) we know that Lando and Daniel crack each other up. The thing that new Top Gear seems to be missing (less with McGuinness and Flintoff, more with LeBlanc and Reid) is the dirty jokes. I know that sounds super immature, but it's true. Watch one episode of Top Gear and try not to laugh at James yelling something like "You've given me the baby now get in the back." These three would make top tier hosts, especially being able to poke fun at each other, but also looking at how well they line up with Clarkson, Hammond, and May. George is taller than everyone else and makes jokes at everyone else's expense, Lando is Richard's height (which he get's made fun of for) and is undeniably hilarious, and Daniel is just happy in any situation (though I'd love to see him have a James May style outburst with the Australian language). And obviously, this would be after their F1 careers were finished, so some time from now, but that gives Flintoff, Harris, and McGuiness a fair bit of run time before hand.
Why not Alex Albon? Or Charles Leclerc?
I thought about them, but we'd lose the dynamic if everyone was the same age and came up together. Also, being from Monaco, Charles' accent might hold him back, which could take away from the show being mainly for an english audience (although I love Charles I just don't know how well it would work because of that). As for Alex, he just doesn't seem to have quite as much enthusiasm as the other two. Not sure why, but that's just what I got from watching his videos. And remember, personality in front of the camera is everything for this. If it helps, I also though about Carlos Sainz and Sebastian Vettel, but the accents were the issue again. If it wasn't such an english focused show, then I would've picked those two, but it just didn't seem to fit as well. But then you might ask, well why not DC or Jenson Button? Again, dirty jokes and chemistry is about all I have to say, it shouldn't seem forced.
What about the stig?
Well, some say he won't have the drink. And that he needs his gloves and steering wheel. Bwoah, all we know is, he's called the Stig.

Rowan Atkinson, Nick Mason, and Chris Harris
Oh that would be cool. Only problem is their age. Nick Mason and Rowan Atkinson are getting up there. If they were younger, like around the age the trio was when they started, I'd be all over that, but I feel like they don't do as much of the silly...

Oh dear. I get the feeling things really wouldn't be all that different. Aside from the jokes that is.
Sung Kang, Elon Musk and myself
Lol. That would be pretty funny. Sung Kang would actually be perfect I completely forgot about him
Chris harris, alex kersten and matt watson would be a great trio
I've never heard of those other two but Chris is alright. I'm just a huge fan of Lando and Daniel, so that pretty heavily influenced my decision. I'm not too picky as long as they make me laugh
Alex is the main carthrottle journalist and matt is the guy from carwow (both ytb channels)
Chris Harris, Mat Watson and Daniel ricciardo
