Its amazing what you read on Facebook. On one hand, people want motorsport to be cheap and accessible but at the same time they rag on any category that tries to make it accessible.
Speak to anyone in motorsport who knows a thing and they will tell you that the LS when built right, like every engine, will last a while and without the big price tags of other engines, it makes it a great engine for motorsport.
Look at the Formula 1 engines, millions of dollars spent and they still blow up! An LS blows up and you're not having to sell your first born to get it fixed.
Plus with heaps of variants there's one to suit everyone! This workvan had an LS engine put into it and it ran without a hitch doing burnouts, skids, laps and more at a Powercruise event. Meanwhile some of the guys with other engines spent half the day diagnosing issues or having their cars towed after the engine blew up.

Is it because they're stuck in archaic "Ford vs General Motors" (or Holden for those playing along in Australia) argument so it must be rubbish?
Maybe the next article should be "10 Things Facebook Warriors Are Wrong About?" and point out the absurdness of opinions such as "Motorsport is all about Win Sunday, Sell Monday" .. Sorry Barry, we're not living in the 80s and 90s anymore. Or the even more absurd "Jeremy Clarkson should be censored because his lack of tact offends me!" Do you realise that you're using the same freedom to speak that he is? Yes? Ok.. Glad we had that chat.
Anyway, all I am saying is .. Give the LS a chance .. or present a reasonable argument on why the LS is inferior in the comments.
p.s. The Ford Falcon AU front end is much sexier than the VL Commodore's front end.
