- 6th Generation Toyota Chasers

Why are Toyota Chasers so Popular all of a Sudden?

Most haven't even heard of this JDM legend, but now it's sweeping the market in America, and for a good reason!

The sudden popularity can easily be explained by one thing: the best year of the Chasers is the 6th genertion that started in 1996, 25 years ago. Acording to dated and illogical import laws, this is the earliest we can import it to the states, but now that they're here...

These things are freaking AWESOME! I wish I knew about them sooner. It was Toyota's challenger to the GT-R and thus many later models had AWD. The best part? They came with a Supra 2JZ engine! The JZX100 (pictured) had a 1JZ Turbo that could also be a manual.

While not fully stock, this is the inside of a 2000 Chaser. Note the cup and snack holder.

The fixed-up versions of this are similar to Supras, but with the advantage of AWD, and they push 600 hp! You'd be hard-pressed to think of another time an engine this capable was in a JDM with AWD.

Would you drive one?
