Why Don't People Supercharger Their 458s and 488s?
This is basically a question for u guys... let me know your thoughts in the comments pls.. #DRIVETRIBE
Why?
As many of you guys know the 458 was the last N/A mid-engine Ferrari. The 488 and the new F8 are both twin turbo V8s and don't have the beautiful exhaust note that the 458 has. I haven't been able to find a single video about a supercharged 458 or 488. Is there something that prevents them being supercharged? I think that the supercharger would preserve some of that beautiful note and be just as effective. The 458 creates 562 hp, and the 488 creates 661 hp.

Why would anyone want to ruin the Ferrari with a whiny supercharger? If you like the sound of a vacuum cleaner, it’s cheaper to by a Dyson. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
to potentially preserve the exhaust not and because it sounds cool... granted turbos also sound cool...
The loud intrusive whiny supercharger will drown the out whatever exhaust notes worth preserving. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Superchargers never really suit ferraris. But if there was no choice left i'd prefer the 488 to have a supercharger because it already uses force induction. But 458?? NEVER IN HELL cause that engine is simply glorious.
it would be interesting to see the results.....
Superchargers aren't as efficient as turbos, they take power to make power, however they do provide instant boost unlike turbos which have lag
