Why This Road Could Be The Pikes Peak of the Poconos
A road that could make drivers experience the thrill of racing up and down a mountain road that live closer to the East Coast USA.
I take many trips to the Poconos a year and there is this one particular road where I enjoy driving every time. It lies between Stroudsburg and Bagnor where it traces going up and down one mountain from the start and then winds up a second mountain with plenty of twists and turns. It is not as long as Pikes Peak in Colorado, but it would probably just as fun to drive. It would offer the chance for many to be able to feel the exhilaration and adrenaline rush comparable to racing on the hill climb race in the Rockies. Take a look at the map below. There is plenty of twists and curves. There is also room for some straights for cars to gain speed. The "finish line" would be something I like to call "Big Chair" only because it offers a great view of the surrounding mountain ranges. Tell me what you think. Do you agree? Or do you not agree?
