The driver of this black Ferrari 458 Spider originally claimed his innocence to police following crashing his Italian supercar, claiming he was travelling at 52MPH in a 50MPH zone. Police were called to the scene in Bolton after the Ferrari lost control.
Powered by a 4.5L V8 engine, the 458 Spider produces 562BHP, a 0-60MPH time of 3.0 seconds and a top speed of 199MPH. Greater Manchester Police tweeted about the accident, later adding that the driver had tested positive for cannabis and was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.
The front wing, drivers door and rear quarter of the car were all severely damaged, with the drivers door taken off completely, and airbags deployed. Thankfully, no-one was injured in the accident and no other vehicles were involved. I would love to hear the awkward insurance phone call after this one!
