Will the Honda NSX Roadster be launched this year ?

This would mark the end of a long wait.

For years, we have been talking about a potential commercialization of the Honda NSX's discoverable version. On the side of the Japanese manufacturer, nothing has been confirmed or even reversed. This leaves room for rumors that the site Autobild comes again to put on the table. According to Autobild journalists, the Honda manufacturer could present in 2018, the NSX Roadster. This is obviously to be done with tweezers, because the source of this information does not seem to be internal or close to the folder.

In previous months we have seen prototypes of the NSX attacking the Nürburgring circuit. These prototypes show that the Japanese manufacturer is working on the development of other versions of the NSX. We think in particular of the Honda NSX Type R and the Roadster version of the supercar. The most adepts of this sport will say that the Honda NSX Roadster already exists. Indeed, on the movie Avengers, we can see an Acura (the equivalent of Honda in the US) NSX Roadster. This car exists, the manufacturer has only to give the green light, and start production of this little beauty!

As a reminder, the Honda NSX is powered by the 3.5-liter V6 engine coupled with three electric motors. The total power is 581 hp and 645 Nm of torque. Although its weight is 1725 kg, the Honda NSX is able to go from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.0 seconds. If the discoverable version is released, it will probably offer the same performance as the Coupé model.
