A few months ago, we introduced the Spotting tab (the binoculars icon on the DriveTribe app), a dedicated section making it so much easier to snap a pic of a car in the wild and upload to DriveTribe for others to rate.

It’s fun, it’s popular, and now… it’s just got better, with the new Spots of the Week competition!

Every Monday, the most popular spot of the previous week will win £20, while the second and third most popular spots will win TribeCoin bundles.

HOW DOES A SPOT BECOME POPULAR?

Popularity is based on reactions (COOL, BORING) and Boosts. To give a spot a Boost costs 5 Tribecoins and is for the spots you really like.

If you hold down on the Reactions or Boost icon, you’ll be able to see the users who have given that reaction.

IF I WIN BEST SPOT OF THE WEEK, HOW WILL I BE PAID?

We will contact all winners for their PayPal email address and pay as part of our monthly Creator Programme payrun. This applies once – if we already have your PayPal details on file we won’t need to contact you again.

If you would prefer not to be paid in actual monies, we can substitute a chunky Tribecoin bundle in place of the cash prize.

FUN STUFF! WHEN DOES THIS START?

This week’s clock started yesterday! Get spotting, and don’t forget to rate and Boost your favourite spots.

If you can't already see the Spots of the Week and Boost feature in your Spotting tab, update the DriveTribe app.

  • I have a question. There are a bunch of people who fake spots, and i’ve seen them get enough upvotes to win. How would that work if something like that does happen?

    • And what about dealership “spots” and car show “spots?” I don’t mind them in the spotting feature but those don’t really count as something you should win money for.

    • We do supervise the Spotting tab. Ultimately though, if they did manage to score enough upvotes from the community to win, and we ever found out a user was faking, it'd be unlikely they'd win anything again - to say nothing of the potential...
