If you ever see an old Mercedes for sale with around 5,000 genuine miles on the clock then you would be very lucky indeed and should probably buy it. But what if I told you there was a 33 year old Mercedes 560 SEL for sale with just 46 km (28 miles) on the clock? Because there is one and this is it.

It is a very classy spec with a silver exterior and a red leather interior. To prove just how new it really is, not only is there plastic still on the interior but it has also never been registered meaning it is technically brand new. Aside from the odd blemish on the paintwork, it is a truly mint example of a 560 SEL.

Not much is said about the car other than it has been well maintained which you can very clearly see when looking at the engine and under the car. Along with all the paperwork, this Merc comes with power windows and locks, a sunroof and of course a fridge where the owner has kept...the documents.

It isn't a measly car either as these came with a 5.5L V8 which produces 295 horsepower which propels this heavy beast from 0-60 mph in 6.9 seconds. Not bad for an old car that weighs close to two tonnes.

So, the part you have all been waiting for, the price. This doesn't come cheap. It is up for sale for £129,722 ($167,887). That is more than a brand new S Class. I don't know about you, but if I had £130,000 and was in the market for a luxury car, I would 100% buy a new one. If I really wanted an old one I would find one for a few grand on ebay and live with that. Why someone other than a collector would spend that kind of money on this, I don't know. But to be fair, the owner wasn't sure how to price this so I guess we will see what happens.

Would you buy this for £130k?
