- Sebastien Ogier, in his M-Sport Fiesta WRC, understeered into a field and clipped a bank today, but come Saturday evening he leads the field with just four stages remaining on Sunday. © Red Bull Media House
- Why? Because while Thierry Neuville had led ever since Thursday night's start, an impact midway through a stage broke his Hyundai i20 Coupe’s rear left suspension. He limped to the finish, but lost 30 minutes, dropping to 15th. © Red Bull Media House
- Neuville's bad luck promoted Ogier's Ford team-mate Ott Tänak to second, and he lies 47.1 seconds behind, despite gearbox issues and a power steering failure. © Red Bull Media House
- Jari-Matti Latvala was too aggressive in his Yaris WRC on the morning's dry roads and his studded tyres lost their edge. But he's nearly one and a half minutes ahead of his nearest rival and looks set for a podium.
- Craig Breen is the leading Citroën, but in last year's DS3 rather than the 2017-spec C3 WRC. He beat out Sordo to get into 5th, then gained another place and rose to 4th with Neuville's issues.
- Team-mate Kris Meeke stopped on stage 10 with ignition failure, but recovered. But was then hit by another vehicle on the road section, leaving his car with a damaged right-hand rear wheel and no option but to retire
- Dani Sordo lost a minute in the final stage of the day when broken power steering sent his Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC off the road. He's 16.9 seconds behind Breen. © Red Bull Media House
- M-Sport has all three cars in the top six thanks to a stunning drive from Elfyn Evans, which saw him win three stages. © Red Bull Media House
- Stéphane Lefebvre is the lead C3 WRC, and had a tough day with a puncture on stage 9 and a power steering issue on stage 10. He's 11th overall, just outside the points going into the final day
- Neuville is in 15th, and the second Toyota Yaris WRC of Juho Hänninen (pictured) is in 16th
