Both were built out of battered cars rescued out of a 25 cent bin at the flea market.
The AAR was made to look like something that might be restorable, though with heavy rust and damage to the rare hood.
Meanwhile the purple Cuda is meant to be a parts car, or a very ambitious restoration candidate. The engine is missing, as are the wheels. The smashed rear window has likely ruined the interior, and the vinyl roof is rotting off the car.
I really love making these sorts of wrecks out of damaged/chipped/etc. flea market finds. Using the existing damage to influence how I further rust/weather/etc. them adds a sort of realism I sometimes find hard to match starting from scratch.
