This just in from the “Hold my Beer, I got this..” department: Let’s take a salvaged title 1988 Pontiac Fiero with over 150K miles, try to make it look like a “Porshh”, spend way too much money building it, and then wait to see if someone will actually pay $4,800 for it. We can’t unsee the train wreck posted yesterday on Craigslist in Kew Gardens, New York (Queens) so we’re sharing our pain with you. We made it one of our three "Free-For-All-Friday" features on our website this morning.
Here’s the burning question: with an abundance of early real 986 Porsche Boxsters available in the $8,000-$10,000 range, why would you spend a penny on this train wreck? Don’t even think about trying to attend a Porsche Club event with this hot mess; without a valid Porsche VIN, you won’t be allowed past the entrance. Rumor has it the local Porsche Club of America Chapter is in the process of collecting money to buy this car to use as a “Car Smash” fund raiser.
Good luck with the purchase. You are going to need it.
