Since 2001, Yamaha FJR has been one of the best sports touring on the market and thanks to its reliability, the Japanese company has produced a variant specifically designed to be used by the police.
Called FJR 1300 P, it is equipped with a 4-cylinder 1.3 power unit with a power of 141 hp and a torque of 134 Nm, which is managed by a six-speed gearbox.
Equipped with a 25-liter tank, the motorcycle features among the standard accessories the cruise control, the traction control, the D-Mode system for the management of the engine mapping and the position of the saddle and handlebar fully adjustable.
There are also several specific police equipment including LED flashing lights, extendable rear siren, radio system, increased windscreen, fire extinguisher holder, reinforced engine guards and additional side-mounted cases.
The bike was a great commercial success and was adopted by several police departments in U.S.A. and Europe both.
