Currently up for auction in the UK
If you are a kid of the 1980s who grew up to be a car geek, and you have some leftover money from the holidays, you now have a chance to own live out your Michael Knight fantasy.
David Hasselhoff, the star of the early 1980s show Knight Rider, is selling his personal version of the Pontiac Trans Am named KITT. According to Road and Track, the car appears to be a fully functioning replica complete with a custom dashboard and front end.
The car is currently in the UK and is being auctioned off by LiveAuctioneers.com (along with some of Hasselhoff’s other memorabilia). The listing mentions that if the car sells for more than 25 percent above the original reserve price, Hasselhoff will personally deliver it.
The bid as of Wednesday morning was $925,000US. Bidding ends Jan. 21.
