Didn’t get on the list for a New Ford GT? Buy this brand new one instead
If you were lucky enough (or wealthy and famous enough) to get yourself one of the initial run of 2017 Ford GT’s then this will be of little interest to you.
If however you failed to make the cut for one and you have a Ford GT shaped hole in your life, then I have just the car for you.

This pristine 2005 example is listed as brand new and unregistered with delivery miles only and is now for sale in the UK. In the 12 years since it rolled off the production line, it has lived its life as a display car for a Ford dealer in Illinois. The dealer advert states that it was ‘used purely for exhibition purposes’ at a Ford dealership along with a number of other events before arriving in blighty.

This supercar has never turned a wheel in anger on the road – which makes us a bit sad, as cars like this were meant to be driven. The one saving grace for this car though is that people have actually seen it. This is some small consolation for the fact that it’s never been driven on the road.
The 550hp supercharged V8 engine is all present and correct and in virtually unused as new condition. It is still a very quick car by 2017 standards, that massive power figure will get this monster of a car to 62mph in 3.3 seconds onwards to a top speed of 205mph. You also get a couple of things that the new GT is lacking, namely a proper manual gearbox and 8-cylinders of fury.

There is a big price for all of this fury though, £349,000 to be exact, which is a saving of £100k on the new GT which Ford wouldn’t let you have in the first place.
So, is this 12-year-old but new Ford GT worth £349k of your money? Let us know in the comments.
