  • ‘Cause there’s more art to driving a manual. And i so prefer a manual in the snow, even though i drive an automatic.

  • Changing gear with a manual gearbox is like shaking your hand with an old friend

  • I have owned both an automatic and a manual and can appreciate both. I would hands down choose to drive a manual every day, though. While automatic is great for heavy stop and go traffic, it does take away from the joy of driving to a degree. Manual let’s you be a part of the car, it engages the mind, and allows you to control your RPMs. For me it is just more satisfying.

  • I’d suffer the downsides of a manual in traffic just to have some soul once I’m on some twisty roads because most autos are just soul sucking slush-boxes. So, manual all the way.

  • Manual - Main reason, just keep it simple. Manufacturers should offer a manual option still, hopefully they are still cheaper to make than auto (certainly cheaper to fix). But otherwise, they are much more fun to drive, every now and then worth it alone for the ability to roll-start.
