You Think You Know The Most Important American Mid-Engine Car Released In 2020? You're Likely Wrong.
When you consider that in 2020 we have already seen the release of the all new Chevy Corvette C8 as well as a refreshed Ford GT Liquid Carbon its a pretty exciting year for America's high-performance cars already. However, if you think that is where the good news ends, you would be wrong.
Enter SCG and their 004C
If you don't know Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus, or SCG for short, sadly you are not alone. The boutique American automotive manufacture has been making waves at the 24 Hours Nürburgring for years now, with their SCG 003C. After 5 sessions of endurance racing at Nürburgring they have a list of accomplishments that any manufacturer would be proud of, little lone one that fields just a single car at each event. They have even produced 3 examples of the road going 003S and 003SC versions for private customers. Although these 003S cars had received rave reviews from the automotive world, the $2.3 Million price tag and low volume manufacturing has meant they have largely gone under the radar for the casual automotive enthusiast. Now, after building on the success of their SCG 003C, they are about to debut the all new 004C this weekend on the Nürburgring.

It is time to take notice
Not only is the SCG 004C about to take on the racing world but the SCG 004S, SCG's road legal version, is about to take on the world's hyper car manufacturers. This time however, they have been able to build on all of their initial development cost and racing success of the SCG 003 line then are offering the SCG004S at the considerably lower cost point of $460,000. Granted this is still well out of the range of the majority of us but much more obtainable the $2.3 Million examples of the SCG 003S. Looking at the nearest competition, Ford's GT, the already are bringing a better value proposition.
