You're running out of time to snap up Paul Walker's super rare BMW M1
The stunning supercar once a part of the Fast and Furious actor's collection is up for auction on Bring a Trailer and is set to fetch a pretty penny.
The BMW M1 is a true rarity, as the Bavarian company has never built a true successor to this mid-engined marvel – the i8 might be a great car, but it was never the halo model that this once was.
Now's your chance to buy one particularly special example from among the 400 road-going models produced, as this M1 was once part of the AE Performance collection shared by Paul Walker of Fast and Furious fame, and Roger Rodas.
Currently up for auction on Bring a Trailer, this particular example was built in 1979 and modified in the early 1980s by German BMW dealer AHG which fitted it with its Studie package.
Not only was the wick turned up on its 3.5-litre straight-six engine, but a Procar-style body kit, 16-inch three-piece BBS wheels, and a custom M livery were added to spice up its looks on the outside, while leather upholstery was also added on the interior.
The M1 was already a very well-specified car to begin with, though, featuring a ZF five-speed dog-leg manual gearbox, a limited-slip differential, adjustable suspension, and niceties such as air conditioning and power windows.
With only around 7000km (4000 miles) shown on the odometer on this clean Montana-titled example which has some notable ownership history, bidding is already at US$390,000 with just over a week still remaining to bid.
